We are looking for a full-time Front End Web Developer specialising in WordPress to play a vital role in the business.

The Role

We are looking for a full-time Front End Web Developer specialising in WordPress to play a vital role in the business.

Your role will primarily be focused on building and maintaining digital solutions for our clients based on designs provided by our creative team. Input on the structure and development of front-end frameworks and on-page architecture will be a major part of the role.

Knowledge of the industry and latest technology/trends will be essential, as your responsibility will cover a wide range of clients, across many sectors. You will be involved in a variety of projects and ideally, you will have an understanding of the benefits of social media in the wider online environment and implementation of best practise SEO methods.

You will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic Front End Web Developer, able to work to very strict schedules and possess effective communication skills.

Role responsibilities

• Be responsible for front end web development
• Building HTML email campaigns
• Develop straight from Photoshop layouts or working with our design team to achieve their vision
• Implement and test responsive web solutions
• Ideally have experience of on-page optimisation, analytics and social media
• Have a significant understanding of core web standards and proactive approach to keeping up to date with industry best practice and latest strategy and techniques

Person specification

• Be the first point of contact internally for all web queries
• Have the ability to describe technical solutions to a non-technical audience
• Have excellent communications skills.
• Be hardworking and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Be able to adapt to a fast paced environment
• Be able to hit the ground running from day one

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript
• Experience building themes and adapting plugins for WordPress CMS
• Knowledge of a range of other content management systems
• Experience in Grid systems and the responsive web process
• Experience hosting, maintaining and updating a number of websites
• Google Analytics
• Photoshop

Desirable:

• RWD / UX
• eCommerce experience, ideally WooCommerce.
• HTML Email
• SEO
• PPC / Google Adwords

Eligibility

Graduate or Post-Grad with a maximum of 2 years industry experience. You must, by the start of your employment, have permission to work in the UK, have a full, clean UK driving licence and access to own transport.
